Hollywood Offbeat (Steve Randall) - The Trial - Episode 13 (1953) In this filmed series, screen star Melvyn Douglas appeared as a disbarred lawyer who had turned sleuth in an attempt to regain his right to practice law. A suave, mustachioed detective, he greased his way through assorted cases of blackmail and murder before finally reaching his goal - reinstatement as a lawyer - in the final episode. There this short series ended. Prior to it's network run, some episodes of Steve Randall were seen locally under the title of Hollywood Offbeat.
